We caught up with Marika, the new star at incspaces to find out a little bit more about her and her role in running the office space in Manchester. Marika is the General Manager for the space at Mount Street which provides serviced offices, hot desking, virtual offices, meeting rooms & event space overlooking the city.
Who are you, and where are you from?
My name is Marika, and I’m originally from St. Albans in Hertfordshire. In 2015, my family and I moved to Manchester due to a relocation, and I’ve settled in well since then. The move has been a positive change, and I’ve come to appreciate what Manchester has to offer.
What did you do before joining incspaces?
Before starting incspaces, I worked in direct marketing and sales, as well as working as a nail technician.
Which centre are you based at, and what do you love about your city?
Mount Street in Manchester. Manchester reminds me of London, even though it’s on a smaller scale. There is a similar energy, with plenty of excitement and always something happening, making each day feel different.
What’s one thing you enjoy about your centre?
I appreciate the community vibe at Mount Street. I especially enjoy that the site is dog-friendly, being a huge animal lover myself, it’s a nice bonus knowing there’s always a dog around to greet.
Tell us one thing your members might not know about you.
Something Mount Street members might not know about me is that I’m really into astrology and holistic practices. I find the idea that we’re made of stars fascinating and believe in our ability to shape our own reality.
